A friend of my wife writes on Facebook:
I can only apologise for having previously voted for the Liberal Democrats.
I see now that they are as much responsible for Brexit as the Tories. And if they had the chance to do it again, they most certainly would.
And that they missed a trick by not demanding £8bn for doing so in the first place. And if you you think that they would ever vote against Brexit, knowing that, then you are very much mistaken.
They’ve shown their true colours. They know exactly who their masters are. Betrayers. I’m ashamed that I didn’t see it sooner, but at the time I had to vote with my conscience.
There is however a new, real, alternative on offer. Genuine change. And if you can’t see that, you’re lying to yourself. The game itself has changed.
Labour, is now the only game in town, with the only realistic plan, endorsed by the EU no less, for a future that’s different, and better, from what has gone before and what we knew was wrong. Isn’t that what we all voted for all these years ago? Every single one of us?
Change, and for the better. We can’t go on like this.
Vote Labour, else you really are voting for exactly the same gooseberry fool that got us where we are today. So if you vote against Labour, you’re voting against the only solution the EU will accept.
Such is my understanding, having spent the last three years trying to understand and trying to educate myself as to why, why any of this gooseberry fool.
Why haven’t you done the same, instead of bitching and whining about the result of the referendum. Didn’t you ever stop and ask yourself, why? Why the strawberry float is this gooseberry fool even happening.
I’ll leave that to you to read up on, you’re all educated idiots like myself, you can educate yourselves I’m sure.
Vote Labour, they’re our only hope. The Liberal Democrats can only disappoint you, again and again. Likewise The Greens, they’re just not interested, sorry. when people say “they’re all the same” that’s exactly what they talking about.
Vote Labour. It doesn’t have to be like this. But understand this, if you don’t vote Labour, you’re voting for more of the same.
Such is my understanding of current events. Harrumph.
It is, of course, entirely your decision. Future generations may well hold you personally responsible for this gooseberry fool but, y’know, if you’re ok with that, by all means don’t vote Labour, and be forever strawberry floated.
Consider the future, for anyone but yourself. And vote accordingly. This is may not even affect you, I hope you realise this. This is your one chance to be a better person. Rise, rise above it all
