It's not as bad as [horrific historical event] so what's the problem?

Labour should support what they actually believe, rather than try and fudge something through to try and win an election, and because they're advocating a position for votes opposed to principle, on the most critical issue of the day and as a result their position is impossible to defend and they're not gaining any votes because of it.

How can you defend something you believe is going to harm the country?

Labour believes different things though. The majority of the MPs and membership believe leaving the EU is bad. But Corbyn doesn’t and he is the leader.

It’s the same position (but reversed) as the Tory party.

Eating a bowl of warm donkey gooseberry fool might not be as bad as getting your balls caught in a bear trap, but if you have the option to do neither then choosing the lesser of two evils is still very stupid.

There's a tactical voting website to stop a Farage landslide.. however it seems a bit broken to me

https://www.remainunited.org/be-tactical/

My region (Anglia) will have the same predicted results regardless of tactical voting or not. And according to the map, it appears that Lib Dems need to take the entirety of England with SNP in Scotland.

It's pretty simple, if you live in;

England - Lib Dems
Scotland - SNP
Wales - Wales party

England is not so simple, there are areas where voting Green is a better option.

There is literally no point in voting Labour in the Euro elections.
If you are remain then vote Lib Dems or Greens, if you are Leave then vote Brexit Party for No Deal or Conservatives for crappy deal.

I don't think the Brexit party will do as well as everyone is thinking, but I expect they will do well enough.

Think they will do better than predicted. There's been noticeable anger in my area about them 'not having a voice' in local elections (someone on my Facebook wrote that they only had a choice between three traitor parties) so I think they will be chomping at the bit to make their voices heard. Reckon it'll be a landslide, sadly.

I think they will "win" but I wouldn't be surprised if the votes for Remain parties added together equal or outnumber them.

I think this is likely. But will still be perceived as a victory by quitters.

Nigel Farage’s Brexit party is on course to secure more support at the European elections than the Tories and Labour combined, according to the latest Opinium poll for the Observer.

In the most striking sign to date of surging support for Farage, the poll suggests more than a third of voters will back him on 23 May. It puts his party on 34% of the vote, with less than a fortnight before the election takes place.

The poll suggests support for the Conservatives has collapsed amid the Brexit uncertainty, with Theresa May’s party on just 11%. Labour is a distant second, on 21%. The Lib Dems perform the best of any of the openly anti-Brexit parties, one point ahead of the Tories on 12% of the vote.

With the Brexit party securing more than three times the level of support for the Tories, the poll confirms the concerns of senior Conservatives that it is haemorrhaging support as Brexit remains unresolved. Just a fortnight ago, the Brexit party was neck-and-neck with Labour on 28%. Now it has a 13-point lead over Jeremy Corbyn’s party.

The Conservatives are now only narrowly ahead of the Brexit party when voters are asked who they would vote for at a general election. The Tories are on 22% support, down 4% on a fortnight ago, with the Brexit party on 21% backing. Labour leads on 28%, but is down five points on the last poll.

The rest: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2019/ ... bined-poll

Sure will be interesting to see just how correct some of these polls are come the election. And as ever what the turnout will be, because it’s usually a load of crap.
