Logically though, Johnson isn't going to have any advantages over May even if he is pushing for No Deal. The ERG would fall into line, but you would hope that more sensible Tories would vote against falling off of the cliff. Which means Parliament will still be unable to agree anything, while saying that No Deal is not an option.
Does Johnson risk an election that could end up with him being the shortest reigning PM in British history? Does he go for a referendum (probably secretly hoping Remain win!) to solve the problem? Or does he bluster and bumble around hoping that the EU lose their patience, refuse an extension and we fall out of the EU without him having to actually pull the trigger.
