The Express seems just as stupid under Reach as it did under the previous ownership. It may be written in a house style that's as simplistic as a Ladybird book, but at least the Daily Star has changed tack.
A lot of stories about supermarkets increasing lorry driver wages or adding incentives to join up.
I'm not sure how this is a positive for anyone but the lorry drivers. Surely this is just going to get passed onto the consumer? How is that good for people?

Thinking out loud here.
Supermarkets are ultra competitive when it comes to protecting their market share so they really won't want to dramatically increase prices. Obviously possible it gets passed on to the consumer but they may try and squeeze their supply chain elsewhere.

I've already seen the usual "why take them when we have servicemen living rough! Would you house a refugee" rubbish.
The majority of people I've heard talk about the hgv driver shortage seem to think it's to do with covid and not Brexit even when I've said it's Brexit they still don't believe me.

Given that this Nando thing is not an issue in Northern Ireland, and these problems with HGV drivers were not present last year, you would think people would use a bit of critical thinking.
