I remember that rag of a paper that used to be in the wetherspoons in my old town. The cover always made it look like an issue of private eye without any jokes.

I don't see this as a victory, Martin will probably end up with some kind of government concession so his bottom line isn't affected but the rest of us won't get anything back from what we've lost.

He did say that he wanted to keep EU immigration for his pubs pre Brexit vote although how he ever thought he'd get it, I'll never know.

That said none of the restaurants and pubs I go to seem to be having staffing problems.
