Theresa May did not vote in tonight’s House of Commons vote on the controversial Internal Markets Bill.

There was speculation she would vote against the bill, after she criticised the government for acting “recklessly and irresponsibly” with the legislation, which would allow ministers to override the Withdrawal Agreement signed with the EU.

However, records show that she did not cast a vote. No Conservative MPs rebelled to oppose the bill, according to the division list.

A total of 21 were listed as recording no vote but this does not necessarily indicate an abstention, and their absence can be for several reasons.

Along with May, those who did not record a vote included former attorneys general Geoffrey Cox and Jeremy Wright, who both voiced concerns about the bill.

Easiest deal in history

These banana splits are so transparent it's ridiculous. The EU is not going to allow a low tax, low standard import partner as that completely undermines the whole system. What the strawberry float are they doing?

They are either incredibly arrogant and believe their own lies that we are special and magic (partly this will be true, you can’t lie this convincingly for this long without actually believing your own lies), or are so so stupid that they think this is actually how you do stuff because for their lives they are have said I want and then gotten it.

The EU is so unfair, not letting us treat foreign goods as non-foreign!

I see Brexit banana splits want to treat car parts in a way that is the polar opposite of how they want to treat human beings.

What a hideous, embarrassing gooseberry fool show. :fp:

There was one Brexit supporting MP I saw was strawberry floated off that he can't take his dog to Europe after this and wanted free movement for pets post Brexit.

They know exactly what they're doing. They're trying to tank our economy so they can all profit and strawberry float off.

This is what it's been about from the beginning. They're all disaster capitalists. They don't give a gooseberry fool about this country or the people in it, they just want the money.

That's not true. It's true some of them are disaster capitalists, but some of them are just very very racist. And some of them are really really stupid.

This was honestly the one bit I area the EU might throw the UK a lifeline! Expecting a last minute deal excitedly thrust by the press as an example of Johnson's genius leadership, only for Brexit MPs to be confused six months later on why they were only given five minutes to debate a trade deal that sees free movement return.

Never mind, those EU BULLIES are just going to sue us instead for breaching international law.

It looks like this law has been used as a smoke screen to give in to the EU while making the UK look tough. My guess it'll fail in the Lords and knocked back down to the Commons be kicked into the long grass and then quietly dropped in a years time.

Amusement under late capitalism is the prolongation of work.
