Democracy can work, we don't live in one.

It's only about two weeks of working hours.

Edit: well 14 days which is more like three weeks assuming 7.5 hour days.

28.5 hours a year, less than a standard working week. It's nothing.

IDS is, and will always be, in my top five people I'd like to knockout.

Prince Naseem Hamed style.

His head is so round and slimey that your first would just deflect off it.

Interesting IDS fact. His real name is Ian, he changed it to "Iain" because he's a banana split.

Interesting IDS fact. His initials actually stand for the condition he suffers from: Irritating Dickhead Syndrome

Hamed was very much a victim of his own success. He annihilated everyone he faced and his arrogance saw him take one opponent far too lightly. He went into the fight overweight and under prepared, lost unanimously on points, and immediately retired because his ego couldn't stomach that he lost.

Hell of a showman though.

I thought he had some bone problems that stopped him fighting.

There was that too, essentially for most of his career he was fighting every 3 months, sometimes with only 8 weeks between fights and his hands didn't recover quickly enough. Eventually it added up.

I thought you were both talking about IDS for a second and was very confused.

This IDS thing makes me think we're heading for a no deal scenario rather than a deal. It feels like they're trying to build a case against the EU to try and deflect that blame when it all fails. Although I'm sure that would do massive damage to the Tories regardless.

It won't.

Look at the Conservative voters opinion there. The government have caused the deaths of tens of thousands of people and they either don't give a strawberry float or have been conned into thinking it's somebody else's fault.
