Also, I think I’m right in that Any Deal passed takes 2 years to iron out and Article 50 can still be revoked in those 2 years, we are leaving a potential Halloween cliff edge in play here.

That is a monumentally low bar to aim for.

Any Brexit is going to hit Ireland hard, so it really is a low bar.

IDGI.

We have a bunch of abhorrent banana splits in charge in the UK and I get laughed at for having a 'low bar'?

I'd prefer the UK didn't leave the EU at all, I hate that I have to keep retyping this fact.

You get laughed at as you seem to be happy with a solution that strawberry floats us over, while still slightly strawberry floating you over.

It f**ks us over hitting our economy by about 4-7% but double those percentages if it's no deal.

It's not a case of being happy or not. Reality is it's all f**ked up beyond belief and since I live 30mins from the border It's close to home.

It’s far closer to my home, it’ll hit me far harder and so don’t be surprised if I laugh if you say Johnson has made a good deal.

I'm very empathetic to UK citizens plight, be it yourself or Taf, it's indescribable how utterly pointless it all is and for what? Blue Passports, Faux Immigration outrage and.....something about fish?

We're in the Article 50 period now, if there's a withdrawal agreement passed we would enter into a transition period (probably around 2 years, if that's what is agreed). AFAIK the UK can't revoke Article 50 during the transition period, the time for that would have passed.

I guess she was never going to back Johnson but she doesn't sound impressed.

The thing about this, if he genuinely gets a deal that he wants to put to Parliament and he believes it’s the best option then he should ask to extend our membership for a few weeks to allow parliament to properly scrutinise the deal otherwise you will end up with a number of people like soubry saying they can’t vote for it as they haven’t had time to understand it. I don’t blame her for taking that position.
