Didn't they put like a billion into that schema? It seems crazily awful.

I assume the Tory way of thinking would be why would we want to encourage students to spend a year abroad? They are very insular so would want the students here.

It's really dumb and short sighted but that's par for the course for this government.

No, I think they're happy for rich people students to go abroad and widen their horizons but not the pleb students.

I can't think of anything worse than my wind.

British wind isn't really an odd phrase, presumably he means power from British wind farms as opposed to imported power from wind farms across Europe for example from Denmark. As an unreliable and unreactive power source though we should really want to be linking up across a wider network to help average out the supply so importing and exporting wind power across Europe is really a mutually beneficial arrangement.

These days, you can be arrested and thrown in prison for saying you use British wind.
