I keep seeing these adverts when I'm walking to work. It makes me angry, so good that they are being pulled.

When are they voting on whether to have an election?

Remember how angry Leavers got over the government spending £9m on leaflets before the referendum? They must be furious with Johnson wasting £100m.

We apparently couldn't afford to reform our electoral system for £250m but we're happy enough to throw away £100m on an ineffective ad campaign

Don't forget the money wasted on actual money with dates printed on it.

I wonder how much has been wasted on the Brexit 50ps as well?

You have to hand it to Johnson though, he is certainly making a good job of making us forget about the money he wasted on the garden bridge.

There were rumours that Macron wanted a very short extension. I hope he doesn’t get his way, 31 January would be enough time for an election and/or Parliament to actually agree to something. Another 2 or 3 weeks just isn’t going to get anything sorted.

Let's say the EU extend to January 31st then after this an election is called could they agree to election next week then Boris change date to February 1st?

My belief is that when they call an election that falls outside of the fixed parliament term, parliament agree to the date and the PM can't change it.

I don’t think so. If an election is called next week then 1 February is a very long way into the future. I don’t think Johnson would get away with closing Parliament for over 3 months.
