I feel like I might upset somebody but aren't TimTams just Penguins anyway, see also Vegemite/ Marmite.

The Aussies would have you believe that TimTams are superior to Penguins.

They are wrong.

But either way I think access to Vegemite and TimTams is a pretty strawberry floating poor replacement for the things we had access to before like, oh I don't know, Freedom of Movement and the common strawberry floating market! :fp:

The only Oceanic related Brexit benefit I'd take is freedom of movement to New Zealand so I could get out of this gooseberry fool hole.

It's an Austrian Penguin knock off. There are some slight differences but nothing significant.

It hasn't really been discussed on the board but since winning the last election, Boris has jettisoned his two biggest promises.

1. His Brexit deal, since the election he's said the deal is broken and has gone back to try and 'fix' it.

2. Lowering food standards to appease the US.

I can't really believe that the Tory leadership didn't to know it was going to do both these things before the election so has basically lied to get what it wanted. I don't want to say that the Tories would have lost if they had told the truth on their for both these issues but they definitely wouldn't have had a 80 seat majority. I think I'm actually more angry about the fact they lied than what they intend to do, because it basically undermines the whole point of democracy.

It would never have got through the house but with even Trump's people saying it's not going to through before the election this is real bad news for Johnson.

Always rated Booths as a supermarket whenever I've been in one. Hopefully a bunch of the other big chains follow suit. I can imagine Asda and Morribobs might look the other way.

Booths is a glorious shop. Every year I go to the lakes and it's one of the highlights of the trip. Beautiful cakes and the fruit is like shopping in Europe. Its not cheap but damn it's classy.

Wish my image sig would work

A Brexiteer Tory MP has urged the government to let his dogs keep their freedom of movement rights after Britain leaves the EU.

Bob Stewart, the MP for Beckenham, said his "French-speaking" hounds crossed the Channel regularly on their EU "pet passports".
