Just comparing the decline in trade with the EU vs non-EU countries seems to indicate that around three quarters of the drop is down to Brexit and not the pandemic, although there are other things to factor in like stockpiling before January. Evens so, if the long term number is even close to half that it is pretty bad.

It will become harder to refute whenever more monthly figures come out saying the same thing.

It's scary that satire feels more realistic than reality now.

It's probably less to do with Brexit and more to do with it not being 1998.... ;)

I like physical media when I buy my Steps albums :capnscotty:

Although joking aside, my mother was ordering cheap clothing for my niece and nephew from Tu clothing. Got to the checkout, they won't send it to here, couldn't setup click and collect either. Totally shite.

Lol

Another returning at Malaga airport today was Shaun Cromber who despite voting for Britain to leave the EU, didn’t believe it would end his Spanish lifestyle, he said: ” Yes I voted out, but I didn’t realise it would come to this, my application has been rejected and we are on our way home – the wife is in tears, she’s distraught if I’m honest and I’m not too happy at the prospect of returning back to the UK.

“I’ve loved living on the Costa del Sol and after 5 years can’t believe it has come to this, we applied but got rejected and so have no choice, although long term I think the Spanish will regret chucking us out of Spain”

Alternatively if they are a retired boomer they may not have a social media/internet presence, which may be impossible to comprehend for people who live on twitter etc.

I've mentioned it before, but a friend of mines parents are in this situation. They've also got approximately 0 left in savings and a house that probably going to be impossible to sell. So they're well and truly up gooseberry fool creek.

I've always assumed they did but there's a good chance they didn't bother voting. They are terrible people who totally screwed my friend over when he left the country.
