What kind of parent actually chooses to feed their child that gooseberry fool? Ooo yes some type 2 diabetes and future heart problems for my bundle of joy please!

There is a major difference between feeding your kids junk food every day and having junk food as a treat once in a while. McDonalds, Burger King and the like I've no problem taking my kids to once in a while. Usually when we're on our way to our hols we stop off at McDonalds or something similar. Meals on a daily basis are always home cooked.

100% agreed.

There’s nothing wrong with a kid having a McD’s a few times a year. It’s only an issue if it’s a few times a week.

Agreed, we tend to go one a month twice at most, usually it’s breakfast on the way to theme parks.

The rest of the time we have “proper” food.

They aren’t “good” food but as a treat and stuff it’s fine.

Putting Bird's Eye potato waffles in the oven doesn't count as homemade. Especially if you pour syrup over them. :capnscotty:

That reminds of a former colleague of mine and her famous home made nachos. Which were largely a bag of Doritos with cheese melted over them.

Is this a joke thing or am I missing something or do the US not have drivers licences?

I think it may be a joke but it's shockingly believable.
The Libertarian Party is odd as they honestly think having as near zero government and rules is a good idea and not just a one way ticket to complete anarchy.
I'd honestly like to see them get what they want and be given an island they can run without government so they can live in the corporate run distopia that would result where the rich have everything and the poor are pretty much modern day slaves.
It's amazing how easy it is to argue against the ideas they have and yet they remain convinced that government paying for things like roads, public transport or education is a terrible idea.

I'd love to have a conversation with a die hard Libertarian voter as it would be fascinating to know why they hate the government so much that they feel all government involvement is always terrible.

It’s selfishness, why should I pay for <insert thing they use less than someone else> when I don’t use it much.
