Bit disappointed with my solicitor again. Supposed to get the keys on Monday but had no confirmation. They've once again asked for documents I've already submitted and sent an email yesterday to clarify something I'd already done. Is it wrong to expect an email on Friday to say everything's fine? I want to book my van and my friend who will be driving is free Tuesday, but if I can gets keys monday that might delay things?

We're mostly packed but really need confirmation to pull trigger on deliveries and such. I've already lost out a couple of bits that have gone out of stock since waiting and also need a fridge delivered rapid. Heavy stressing.

I think the lightbulb moment came when everyone told me that the best way to do it is with an electric screwdriver / drill. I was losing it a bit before I worked out that there's a way to cheat!

I'd recommend opening it Tuesday evening so it's unfurled/expanded and ready to go for Wednesday night.

Agree with this. Takes a few hours at least to rise up properly.

Well worth it though and infinitely better than a standard mattress, especially if you're a light sleeper and/or your partner moves around a lot in their sleep.

One negative though is that, on our's at least, a trough has started to develop on each side where we lie. It's not really a problem at all until you move to lie in the middle and it feels like rolling up a hill. We try to rotate the mattress every couple of months but not sure how much that helps.

Hmm, we're due a new mattress and I'd been interested in the Simba after hearing good things about it but the trough developing sounds like a bit of an issue!

Wouldn't a trough be covered by the warranty?

Hmm, sounds like this may be a real issue:

‘We bought a Simba mattress, but we’re sleeping on the sofa’

Seems that Simba are incentivising early reviews by offering the chance to win the cost back so they get lots of great reviews before any problems develop. Also sounds like they are being weasely on their warranty offer and refusing to cough up when people have genuine complaints.

We've had a Simba mattress for about a year and a half now and we absolutely love it. I genuinely struggle to sleep on a different mattress now. It does have a trough which has built up in the middle which even rotating the mattress regularly hasn't fixed, but it's just so comfortable that we don't mind going uphill occasionally.

Can you feel the love each night?

Hard not to, it is where we are, after all.

Packing up today for our move (to another rented place) on Wednesday.

Really looking forward to it being just me and my partner, and also to having 500Mbps internet. Ooh and a reception desk to take all my packages.

Still waiting on conclusion of missives and getting the fear I'll not get my keys today. Which ruins move in tomorrow. Also just ordered my new fridge to be delivered to my old house in London. strawberry float all this gooseberry fool.

Managed to pick up keys all of ten minutes before estate agents closed. Popped to Tesco for a big shop, ordered furniture and moving in tomorrow.

New house is amazing. Big surprise, turns out the floodlight for the back terrace is colour changing, can have a back yard disco.
