Brought myself up to speed - you were being wilfully ignorant and unwilling to admit you had learning to do about other cultures. I think this site is long past the edgy casual racism gooseberry fool for cheap laughs. The one thing I’ve learned as an adult is people will respect you more if you are willing to learn instead of doubling down and never wanting to appear to be wrong.

Having read through the thread those comments were at best woefully ignorant and at worst outright racism. I don’t think there can be any argument with getting turfed out.

As Craig says, you’d get mullered in Glasgow if you came up here and started moaning about the way we pronounce the words. Go away, have a think about it, then decide what you want to do.

it seems kind of reaching to call it out and out racism since it's not exactly targeted towards a race. I can see why his comments may have been interpreted as such, since yes they are quite borderline, but I'd say it was more just general social ignorance and a total lack of understanding of linguistics and how languages and dialects develop

I've dealt with a lot of racism in my life and yeah nah my guy's just a bit of a dumbass imo
