Calendar App with Apple/Android sync?

I'm looking for a calendar app that my wife and I can both view from our phones and sync with what we have saved in our own calendars. The problem we're having is she has an iphone and I have an Android-anyone know of any app that interfaces with both?

Why not just sync over Gmail?
If you don’t both have a gmail account, create one each, and then share the calendar. Not sure which calendar app you’d use on android, but the built in calendar app on the iPhone will support it.
