Ive heard its 800 pts. Very over priced for 3 maps that will be on a low volume match making list (if that), If you ask me

Nightfire

Battle through the burning ruins of a once proud city. As night falls the destroying flames are the only light to see your enemy by. Beware though; just as you hunt them, they are hunting you.

Station

This map is set in a ruined Metro station turned into a series of smoky tunnels by enemy bombardment. Fight your way through claustrophobic passageways and the tangled mess of steel where the trains once stood.

Knee Deep

Set in a once- peaceful village commandeered by the Japanese leaders as their Center of Operations, “Knee Deep” is located on the island of Peleliu, familiar to those who played the single-player campaign as the scene of some unbelievably brutal slaughter. Expect vicious hut-to-hut fighting.

EDIT I cant find any announcement on the price. But i probably still wouldnt bite at 400 pts.

I am at the end of Relentless on Veteran, I have finished everythinh and all is done objective complete, I look out with two AI soldiers on my side to the ocean and battleships and music.

All I need to do is REGROUP with my squad, the target star is right there on the map where we are standing but the mission won't end, or at least move on.

I have saved and quit but still nothing. Pvt Polonsky is stick on a hill top near the start and wont move his sorry ass, I have chucked a few grenades at him but he is stuck.

Please don't tell me I have to do this level all again :fp:

Also, is it worth getting the maps? Judging by 4 I'd say no. When I play COD4, I very rarely get to play the new maps, most people vote for them to be skipped or drop out.

You'll probably have to start at the bit where you get rescued from the village in Makin...!

Is there a separate matchmaking listing for them or are they mixed up with the main maps? Have you managed to get many games on them yet?

(if you have had time to play them at all)

3 More levels to do on Veteran. It's taking me some time, I think it's harder the the previous games

I am absolutely stuck on the last 2 flak 88s in heart of the Reich on Veteran. I think my checkpoint came in at a bad time, I can barely get to the building on the right. There's hundreds of them, 6 or 7 simultaneous grenades isn't out of the ordinary. The ones that fly in from the horizon, thrown by no one are my favourites. The man who regularly spawns behind me by the tank and shoots me in the back is also fun

I find it amusing that I can hide back at the start of the level and after 10-15 minutes there's still hundreds of soldiers pouring out. At least I get to make a tea in that time. I also execute my own men at the start now as they are useless and I don't get the friendly fire restart on this level.

I've done COD4 on Veteran inc MHC, this is ridiculously harder. Actually it's not really hard, in the computer has great AI and I need skill to beat it sense, it just "cheats" for want of a better word.

Which flak gun is your chack point - the one on the left or right?

mine was the on on the left. Have you got any smoke? For me Gary oldman was just ahead of me to the left of a broken car, and my tank rolls from behind in and explodes seconds later.

I did have a few enemy soldiers to my right and they did bother me sometimes but i had nothing behind me. In the end i would throw smoke ahead of my broken tank and run to the car and prone next to gary oldman, quickly kill 2 or 3 soldiers (from the left of the car ), smoke again to the left of the central building just beyond and to the right of the broken tank, then make a run for the building ( from the right of the car) popping off 1 or 2 soldiers on the way. Get into the bulidng, take cover and turn and make sure noone had followed you, then quickly and cautiously go to the front of the building because enemies could respawn close to there.

At this stage your team mates should advance and you should have to worry about soldiers behind you. From the front door of that bulding, there are soldiers far away to the left and right towards the 3rd flak gun on the right. Once you get to this stage you should be able to pick off the soldiers and then do the last 2 guns.

I think it took me about 3 or 4 trys after i got to the building, but 100s of trys to get to the buliding.

Look on you tube for videos;

This video shos the car with gary oldman and the building to head for;

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ed2FNIyPw2o

There shuld be a fair few other videos showing various tactics and the layout of the level

Good luck

Remember there are rocket launchers about that can destroy the flak 88's in one shot, but make it count. Look for one of the videos on youtube with commentary, I copied that and did it with minor deaths.

I just bought a preowned copy of this. I haven't started it yet, just took a quick look at the first level. Looks good. I'll set it aside now until I've finished with RE5. I haven't ever really gotten on with with these CoD games (still haven't played my copy of Modern Warfare, tbh), but the Japanese campaign elements appeal - and this is the one with the zombie map, right..?

Have just started playing this on LIVE and it is so frustrating getting shotted to death every second by level 65 5th prestige bods when I'm a level 1 newb with a friggin peashooter!

Why can't there be a matchmaking system where you can play with people of a similar skill level OR would it not be better that rather than the game weaponary opening up on you as you progress have it close down on you. When you start you have the better and overpowered weapons and these get removed from you as your skill increases.

Ho Hum...

Why don't you go into Boot Camp for a while?

Boot camp is full of ranked up players who have sussed out how to beat the level cap and go in there for easy kill ratio and XP pickings. I think I only see one or two under 4 raked people in each lobby and all the rest are sly overranked saddo's!

Yes to the zombie mode. I think you had to complete the game first to open it up, but i think the latest patch opens it from the start. My brief experience of the mode says that it is quite poor and very tagged on. Perhaps it would be better online - a la horde public, but perhaps not anywhere near as good s GOW2 (have you played much horde online Cal? - i alway prefer co-op modes to adversarial online.)

Yes on the boot camp playlist there are far too many cheaters - file complaints on all of them.

It is tard starting out at a low level online. There are better guns at the higher levels and it can take some time to get there. There is also a little adjustment that you need to apply to your play style and coming from rainbow 6, halo3, gears or even cod4 can be hard. the weapons are very different, try using the thompson, and some of the heavy machine guns in short bursts, one of the rifles is quite good too (gewr something?). Try and be aware of your guns range. dont be afraid to camp alittle - cover is very minimal in this game more so than most others so camp around as much as possible.

The Thompson is weird. It is by nature a short range machine gun but in the game it seems to have a far better operative range than it should...it is the only weapon I have used. By all accounts one of the machine guns you open up at level 44 (name escapes me) is all sorts of awesome and is the only weapon that people use once unlocked.

It is a good game but COD4 is far more polished in my opinion. One thing that really grates is the noise you make when you run...it sounds just so comically bizarre.
