Is that Captain Price again? I thought this was a 'new' MW3 game or is it a remake of the first MW3? I'm confused

Come on Robo, Acti doesn't allow new stuff when they can redo the same stuff time and time again while saying the have 3000 people working on it (they were doing the skins).

Re-using Captain Price does bring the price of development down overall....

Not the same since they replaced The Bill's Billy Murray.

He was also in Eastenders but we don't talk about that.

Three years ago, I said "What the strawberry float has this game become?" in response to them adding a vampire bat pet. That seems relatively sane now.

NEW CHAPTER IN CALL OF DUTY’S MODERN WARFARE UNIVERSE BEGINS TOMORROW

The next blockbuster game release – Modern Warfare III – launches November 10

A message from the Call of Duty team.

In 24 hours, we will all jump into the Shadow Siege Limited Time Event and experience a first look at the all-new, Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® III, set to launch on November 10th. This reveal represents a special moment for Call of Duty®, as for the first time in franchise history, this year’s premium release serves as a direct sequel to last year’s Modern Warfare® II.

Our vision to deliver back-to-back Modern Warfare games has been years in the making. From the start of development across both Modern Warfare II and Modern Warfare III, Sledgehammer Games has worked closely with Infinity Ward to create a blockbuster sequel in the Modern Warfare series, featuring the return of iconic heroes and villains alike. Players will be able to grow closer to the characters, delve deeper into the storylines, and continue to build out progression and loadouts without interruption.

Each title release represents an epic experience that stands on its own in terms of unique gameplay and innovation. Modern Warfare III, however, pays off what the previous titles have set up. It’s poised to settle old scores and start new ones. With back-to-back premium releases, we are truly thrilled for what the future holds for Modern Warfare and Call of Duty.

While tomorrow is only the beginning, our teams have set their sights to create an incredible, premium annual game experience across Campaign, Multiplayer and Co-operative modes as well as deep integration with Call of Duty: Warzone. A few highlights that we’re most excited about:

· For the first time ever, a direct sequel in back-to-back years delivering an all new Campaign that marks the return of Makarov.

· With Carry Forward, players can continue to enjoy player inventory and weapon progression from last year’s Modern Warfare II into this year’s all-new, Modern Warfare III.

· Did someone say Zombies? More information coming soon on the new Modern Warfare® Zombies: The largest Zombies offering to date.

· New Open Combat missions in Campaign; new Combat Vests and Perk system for customizing your Multiplayer Operator; new Tac-Stance movement; new After-Market Parts for unparalleled Gunsmith customization and more.

· One access point for your future Call of Duty content. Starting with Modern Warfare II and Warzone, and now with Modern Warfare III and beyond, players can navigate all their content in one place, we call it Call of Duty HQ – making it easier to select which game and modes you wish to play.

· New additions to Ricochet Anti-Cheat™ as well as new anti-toxicity plans to continue to deliver a fun, fair and welcoming online experience for all players.

· Roadmap of post launch live seasons of additional new content.

Starting tomorrow and in the weeks to come, we’ll unpack a ton more information as we approach the November 10th release. We can’t wait for you to see what’s coming with Modern Warfare III.

Thank you for continuing to take this journey with us.

Rumours are all the non-DLC MW2 (2009) maps will be at launch.

I loved the CoD series, but then it gradually deteriorated thanks to all the endless bs which seemed to come with it (warzone, massive game file sizes, overly complicated menu/customisation, loot boxes etc).

I'd like nothing more than a remaster of World at War, that game was amazing, it was a much simpler/pure gaming experience, and had some of my all time favourite multiplayer maps.

Get ready for an all-new Campaign that continues the story immediately following the events of Modern Warfare II. Lead developer Sledgehammer Games, in partnership with Infinity Ward is set to deliver a full Campaign of action-packed operations ranging from signature, cinematic experiences to free-form Open Combat Missions, resulting in more player choice than ever before.

Expect a world-class Multiplayer experience celebrating the Modern Warfare series’ greatest legacies; all 16 launch maps from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009) have been modernized with new modes and gameplay features and will be available at launch to get everyone started, while over 12 all-new core 6v6 maps will fuel post-launch live seasons.

For the first time, team up with other squads to survive and fight massive hordes of the undead in the largest Call of Duty Zombies map ever. Modern Warfare Zombies (MWZ) tells a new Zombies story from developer Treyarch, with missions, core Zombies features, and a host of secrets to discover.

Aspects of that trailer reminded me of Splinter Cell Chaos Theory and Double Agent.

Yeah, it's what I thought.

My mates and I played the DMZ earlier on and we were successful with the mission. In the end, they showed that trailer and I thought it looked good.

Something Something call of booty.

I do love how none of us give a gooseberry fool about this game, we're on 2 whole pages of comments, and it's probably going to be the biggest game of the year.

The first reviews of the campaign mode are appearing and they're not exactly overflowing with praise.

IGN wrote:Modern Warfare 3 has perhaps the worst Call of Duty single-player campaign I’ve played. It’s shallow, dull, and plays less like the greatest hits and more like underbaked cover versions of missions past. It’s too busy looking back at former glories rather than focusing on making any new moments worth remembering, wrapped up in a borderline incoherent story with nothing to say. The only part we haven’t seen in a campaign before falls flat, bizarrely cobbling together pieces of the Warzone mode into actively bad sandbox missions, abandoning all of what made Call of Duty so great at its peak and instead delivering a dull string of missions that amount to a thoroughly disappointing handful of hours.
