It's Call of Duty.

And I'm admiring Alex's outrageous moustache. It's so damn cool.  :slol:

The new engine seems to do wonders. The characters look great.

So far I would say it's not as good as the original Modern Warfare, but then I'm only early on in it. Price is such a badass.

I’ve only played the MP because strawberry floating holy gooseberry fool the file download is ridiculous. 80odd GB, only to be told you haven’t downloaded the single player, or the MP, or the Spec Ops. Like what the strawberry float was in the 80gb download if you get it and get told you still don’t have any actual game?

The MP is good, it feels nicely retro in terms of load outs etc. It’s like playing MW2.

I haven’t played anything yet because first I had an update for the Xbox (I literally updated it last week), then a massive 9.18GB install for COD, and then a further 4 install packs, one being an even bigger 11.18GB. I think I did notice a message that pegged it at 80GB in total. Ludicrous.

I’ve just let it run in the background and am contently watching the football/darts instead. But if this was my planned entertainment for the evening I’d be pissed.

Haven’t played the MP as I usually stay away from that.

The final count for the PS4 version is 119gb.

Then came along the update. I was looking forward to playing more but I can’t until it’s updated.

The download was fast as usual but the “copy” process is very slow. It was a hour before I gave up, putting the PS4 on rest mode overnight to get that done.

I've played some matches last night and it's great fun.

However the cross play with my mates in the lobby need to give some tweak to make it more smooth as possible. Except for the lobby issue, it plays great! :D

Finished.

Veteran difficulty isn't as hard as it was in the previous COD games. Just three more trophies before I plat the game.

The second last mission is excellent.

strawberry float sake, how glitchy is this game. Crashed on me in London, just completely locked up the Xbox, and currently stuck at this bit:

Image
Image

She keeps telling me to get under the truck, but the B button does nothing but make me crouch, even when held down. I managed to sneak beside the truck, and the level has continued with "Press B Go prone" permanently stuck on the screen. We're then ambushed, but I'm unable to lay down in the grass to hide, so just get shot to ribbons. Restart checkpoint, B still stuck on the screen.

I don't know how people keep putting up with this blatant unfinished bullshit. I'm in a worse mood now than when I originally started the game an hour ago!

Not just you, so I’m sure they’ll fix it soon. And that’ll mean another update.

Tried the first hour or so of the SPC and strawberry float I hate games that hold your hand like this. Walk over there, wait, NO YOU WENT TOO FAR FORWARD mission failed.

:x

Just let me play the strawberry floating game, I didn't buy a conversation simulator.

Restarted the whole Campaign from scratch and it worked, though I changed the order I put the explosives on the helicopters...not sure if that makes a difference.

I've encountered 3 glitches of randomly jumping/moving boxes. Entering a room and they're just bouncing around for no apparent reason. One was on a shelf flickering between the wall.

Checkpointing and 'cross invisible line to advance game' feels really obvious as well. Opening 4 missions are full of passive moments where you're basically letting the game play itself, simply pressing forward on the controls.

Entering a London home the most atmospheric and engaging of what I've played so far. Graphics suddenly seemed vastly superior in the alleyway.

I'm really enjoying this, its like going back to the good old days of CoD 4 and MW 2/3. It's slick and fast and although im pretty bad I am very VERY slowly getting better.

I've added my Cross play tag in sig.
