If it wasn’t for the amount of glitches (there seems to be an attitude with Activison now of fixing it when it’s out), the last 2 have been alright. The London home invasion mission in Modern Warfare and the KGB level last year were highlights, as were the alternate endings and optional detective work. This one is just pissing me off though with its death by dog surprises (it’s literally repeated 3 times in the opening half hour) and ‘oh, I’m on my own again’ stealth sections.

The 5 hour runtime of the campaign is also heavily padded out by cutscenes, as nice as they are. Shame then that for whatever reason none of them are running properly on my PS5. The audio is out by about 3 seconds.

I found the WWII campaign to be really good. The rest of the newer ones, not so much.

The CG in this is *wow*. Although it's so good, that, the moments where you have characters appearing in both close to one another (like the red cap parachute regiment guy after the parachute jump) the in game models are made to look hilariously lo-fi.

This game is making me miss the DualSense; Russian lass is in a bad way and to help immerse me in the moment my XB pad is rumbling. I can forgive it not having subtle haptics/trigger feedback in this moment, but the fact I can hear the motor as it repeats the low health rumble? Legit embarrassing.

I'm with Denny, wouldn't touch the campaign these days. Just about get enough game time to do some MP.

I might have a free digital version of this. My mate won it but already has a copy.

I've been playing the multiplayer and it's a blast. Although they need to sort out the Hardcore playmodes when they do the playlists.

Everyone's been asking for Hardcore Das Haus 24/7 since it came out early this week and yet they've not done that.

I've been trying to get the gold camos for launchers but the Panzerfaust just doesn't work for aeiral killstreaks, it's almost as if it doesn't reach them and when it does it doesn't one shot them like the other launchers. I'm sure it'll get fixed but there's been a few challengers for camos that just dont work so they've got to fix some of them.

Some great maps for sure, looking forward to shipment coming out soon though.

My partner surprised me with this

I have no idea what I’m doing though. Campaign still downloading (can’t believe it’s not on the disk)

Not really played Cod since WW2 and feel vastly horrific. First online game I got shot 5 & killed times before I managed to do anything

Feel like I’m the only person who enjoys Campaign modes. Nothing special but it’s fun to play through the era

I’d prefer if we could vote on map, but enjoying multiplayer for the most part. Just missing the old War Mode :x

I really liked the campaigns of yore, but I can't remember which one but it felt like the campaign was explicitly just a tutorial for the MP - every level seemed solely designed around mastering some perk or upgrade for the MP rather than being any kind of narrative. Felt like I was robbed.

Have to admit playing through this one it’s very set piece- it looks great but it is very staged to each moment.

Makes me miss the old Medal Of Honour where it was an actual full game for the single player alongside some multiplayer offering.

I miss War Mode too. It's a shame they didnt include it. Patrol is very good. It's a cool alternative to Domination and TDM which is pretty much what i play.

Yeah my matchmaking is literally Domination, Hardpoint and Patrol. Mainly because the games last alot longer. There's been some TDM games which haven't even last 3 mins before the score limit has been reached.

Still enjoying this, although I have been sucked into just playing the Shipment/Daus Haus playlist.

The match making seems a bit all over the place. Last night it was either a side that destroyed the competition or I was on the opposite side and everyone was getting hammered at every moment.

Also feel like I’m getting the same maps constantly but suspect it’s something to do with my filter setting?

I'm playing through the campaign right now, and really enjoying the structure, which is quite different this time around.

Also, more attention needs to be put on how brilliant the CGI is on every cutscene. The overall quality and look (Especially the faces) is genuinely more impressive than that in the blockbuster movies out there.
