Just played the first 2 chapters of this. Really liking it so far, though one of the puzzles tripped me up because I was not aligning a grid quite right.... I feel it could have done more to make the distancing on the clue more transposable to the actual mechanism. But yeah, loving the aesthetic and the story is intriguing.

That chapter 4 puzzle completely stumped me. I still have no idea how it worked.

Each dial represents a word. The words are used multiple times in the four compound phrases. The dots on the dials represent which of the four segments the word is used in. You have to rotate the dials so that the dots would match up with where the words need to be used. That’s how I tried to solve it anyway, but one of the dials was still wrong. It’s a confusing one for sure, but I got a massive buzz from solving it.

Yeah. I think I got there, but for the reason you stated nothing seemed to happen. It seemed odd though as it meant some of the puzzle did not need interacting with.

Really enjoying this despite needing a jump start via guides for each section  On just about every occasion I have had the right idea for the solution but have been off by the smallest margins.

My one gripe is that run doesn't move you quickly enough.

Gave up on this. The constellation puzzles did me in. In the end I was relying too much on guides and so it just didn't feel fun to me any more.

Which chapter were the constellation puzzles?

I remember one or two being obtuse enough to use a guide and they really killed the pacing of the game. It wasn't always apparent what stuff was relevant at that moment and what could be left until later. I seem to remember the early couple of chapters being okay but it did throw up stumbling blocks later on.

I enjoyed, but I remember being in a mood to play the game at its own pace when it launched on Xbox. I may have been less patient with it if I picked it up after the initial buzz (of which there was a suprising amount) had died down.

Parksey has it spot on.

Obtuse is the choice word there. On many puzzles there was too often a lack of a hint to spark an idea which then lead to my making the solution discovery. And yes, then falling back on guide ruins the pacing but, more importantly, makes the playing of it kind of pointless and not the least bit fun. But it's not close to a bad game by any means if you can see (as it were) the hints.

Constellation puzzle is I think toward the climax of the game. It shows up soon after the boat trip.
