Cheers for that Harman. I wouldn't necessarily put all of those episodes in my own top ten, but it was an enjoyable read and good to see your reasons for their inclusion. Looking forward to the top five.

Yeah enjoyed that, would disagree about that treehouse of horror ep being there - in my eyes the cafeteria part of it is a bit of a dead weight - but your list reminded me of the brilliant strike song sang by Lisa in Last Exit and for that I thank you

strawberry float me I'm sweltering, does anyone know what episode's the one where they're boiling in Springfield? Guy playing a guitar in the sunny street gets punched, homer and Bart keep the fridge door open and make a wee tent. That's all I remember of it

Just watched 'Trash of the Titans' - the episode where Homer becomes sanitation commissioner. It's one of those episodes that isn't particularly highly regarded (from what I know) or known for anything in particular, but there are some great lines, and it's consistently funny.
