Capcom are to launch the Capcom Home Arcade, a console with 16 games built-in that connects to your TV. The console is shaped like the Capcom logo ( :o /  ) and has two Sanwa-based joysticks and buttons built in.

Capcom wrote:Featuring a pair of competition class Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT sticks with 8-way GT-Y directional gates and OBSF buttons for the finest precision, response times and durability. The 16 pre-installed games are from the original Capcom CPS1 and CPS2 arcade ROMs with emulation provided by FB Alpha, delivering an authentic & accurate arcade experience exclusively for the Capcom Home Arcade.

AvP being released on that only and not PS4, Xbox, pc or switch. strawberry float off Capcom. Just as you do one thing right you cant help but do a Konami and be a dick.

Also release all versions of darkstalkers and not just one.

It's like they have never heard of roms.

Utter tat

Wish my image sig would work

The price doesn't seem *that* bad to me :shifty: . Sanwa joysticks and buttons are high-quality and quite expensive... getting two lots of kit in this machine is pretty neat. I've not got a great deal of desire to play the included games but I'd imagine that an arcade enthusiast would be keen to try this out.

Initially I baulked at the design but, having watched the video, it has grown on me :-) . But, yeah, I'll be putting that dough towards a next-gen console rather than getting this.

Meh, just buy a cheap arcade stick that's decent. The one I have is nice enough and slap some arcade ROMs on your PC and boom. Normally I don't say this kinda thing, but 200-fucking-pounds!

£100 would be my limit for something like that and I would expect the Joysticks to be of decent quality. £200 just takes the piss.

Yeah, I kinda get the surprise at the cost. People are used to, say, the SNES mini being priced at around £70. But Sanwa stuff is expensive and generally regarded as being the best. A single Sanwa-based stick setup for the PS4 on its own costs around $200.

I guess this particular setup is for real enthusiasts of the arcade games rather than folk with a passing interest.

It's a funny novelty and one for collectors but as a actual product this is actually strawberry floating garbage.

Too expensive and looks like utter dog gooseberry fool.

Will probably sell millions.

Based on the parts used I'm not surprised. I'm coveting one of these.

There's some damn good games on there, that never got a home conversion with AVP being my personal highlight.

£200 is a tough ask though. £150 and I think it would have been easier to justify.

There's not enough games on it to justify the cost. Just look at how many games you get with the beat em up collection which is incredible.

Sure, I'd like to have seen a greater number of games on it, too. But I wonder if folk are just comparing game numbers to, say, the NES mini or the Mega Drive mini? The hardware in this - in terms of the controls - is a league above anything else in the console space. As I said, comparable sticks for other systems can be 150 to 200 dollars on their own.

This is, I feel, a niche product for hardcore Capcom fans; high quality at a premium price. It's not something for my tastes but I could understand fans being eager to get it :-).

Never mind the price, it’s 2.5 feet long, FFS.
