Resident Evil 2 Remake | Review Scores Within Stranger

So which order are people going to play this? Leon first then Claire? I'm undecided still.

Claire first

Leon A > Claire B > Claire A > Leon B
Leon B was by far the hardest in the original and Claire A was harder than Leon A. If it is the same here then this would be the order to go.

Does this version have A & B scenarios? I thought it was simply a Leon campaign and a Claire campaign. Regardless, it's Leon first for me! The original demo was Leon and I played that so much that Leon was always going to be the primary character for me. I have played the new demo once - got my head around the controls and confirmed that it looks promising, but am patiently waiting now & can't wait to play through this game. A remake of my favourite game of all time, three generations and twenty years later. The reviews so far suggest that this is going to be exactly what I hoped for, could not be more excited about a game!

Also enjoyed watching the trailer at the end of the demo to see that Hunk and Tofu are included as unlockable characters once more. I really enjoyed Hunks game, but I never managed to unlock Tofu, despite following everything the guides told me I needed to do, even completing each scenario with an S rank without saving once - something that certainly ramped up the nerves! I remember one of my non-saving play throughs after beating the final boss with low health and stumbling back to the train, only to take my eye off screen for a moment and walking straight in to the arms of a grateful zombie; two hours down the drain! :lol:

I'm glad that they have tweaked the puzzles etc and not going for a straight like for like remake. I reckon I could still complete the original in under 3 hours all these years later. Had they left the keys in the same place and kept the safe code to 2236 I would be zooming through this. One day to go...

Leon first. Does anyone know is the brad vickers tunnel in this?

It's funny that I didn't get scared while playing RE7 in normal mode. But in the VR mode, I jumped several times.

The demo started within the police station, which disappointed me a little, but I just checked and the full game starts in the same manner as the original, so I would expect the tunnel to be there.

Yeah theres a build up to the station. No kendo gun shop...at the beginning. Waiting for the postman. Ffs.

Shame, the spiders in the original games were eerily well animated, they would've been horrifying in this.

Obviously waiting for that inevitable Resi 3 remake :datass:

Went to CEX, traded some Amiibo for credit, just used said credit to order the game from their website. Lets just hope the game doesn't get strawberry floated up in transit :dread:

Mine is a digital download, so I have to wait until Midnight. But I'm going to hold strong and wait until I can have a proper session in the dark with the sound up. I went to give the demo a second play and now I understand why it's called "One Shot".
