I loved it, won't lie. I didn't find Mr X that scary, and I thought the story was a little threadbare ( I don't know why but I seem to remember there being much more flavour text in the earlier games), but it was just such a perfect little slice of nostalgia.

Claire B.

Also if you get grabbed by the G-Adults in the sewers and you don't have any defence weapons on you, you'll get poisoned.

Just so we're clear, Claire B here is the 2nd Run Claire story right?

Yeah, 2nd Run is "B."

Christ, the sewers are a bit over-populated, eh?

EDIT: and I’m clear. Onto NEST. Loving this.

What's the differences between the A and B runs?

Different way in, medallion codes changed, extra handgun, different placements for enemies and most items.

That’s it.

It’s not like the original RE2 where the story is slightly different.

Also if you finish the 2nd Run with a different character from the first run, you get the true ending.

Bloody hell, Leon A hardcore is a bit of an ordeal. Don’t remember having this much trouble with Claire hardcore.

Managed to save most of my crafting items though so am loaded up with ammo. Birkin 1 was really tough, managed Mr X very well though, am half way through sewers, just got to figure out how best to tackle the slug monsters as they seem very unpredictable.

Well, you can avoid most of them.

The slug monsters/adult Gs are tame and easy to read. As they can’t reach you if you’re on the high ground.

Not much to the sewers really... shouldn’t take very long, if that’s any consolation.

Other than the spark plug puzzle you don’t have much to do. Think it took me about 25 minutes to get through it - only problem is the maze-like layout really.

This is both one of the greatest games of the generation and, arguably, the best Resident Evil game, get back on it :capnscotty:

I'm currently on the clock tower puzzle searching for cogs while being pursued by Mr Xcruciating.

Thought I'd blast through the Sewers before heading out to pick the child up from school, got through that section plus heading back to the RPD and getting the 2 hidden items before facing G2 and now at Nest all within 30 minutes or less. Think I killed 1 G monster and avoided the rest thanks to knives and grenades.

I think the only time you absolutely must engage G-Adults in any way are when you're en route to the spark plug puzzle and back again; they're pretty tough to avoid and the one that spawns on the way back is a pain in the arse.

Yep, that's where my grenades came in handy and knives. That last one before the ladder out of there got me down to danger before I managed to hobble passed and up out of there.

And Leon standard S rank done! 3 hours and 15 minutes exactly, all upgrades and pouches. Now to decide if I do Claire's S rank or try for the less than 14000 steps playthrough with no healing and no use of the chest. Can be done on assisted using the infinite pistol I've just unlocked can't it?

When you do a b run half the game has been opened up. X is already there. Lickers have arrived. Genuinely shocked me when I started

Fabian Delph is a banana split.

No - the gun is in the chest so you won't be able to pick it up if you want the frugalist achievement.

Well for the 14,000 steps I would suggest that you know the best possible run.

It took me a hour and 40mins from start to end, no boxes or healing and I achieved it below 9,000 steps.

And you just need two weapons: Handgun and Shotgun/Grenade Launcher. You wouldn’t have the time to get the magnum/SMG. I got the flamethrower/sparkshot but I hardly used them apart from using them on G adults or Ivy monsters.

And if you die. Quit to the main menu and reload from there (auto save is pretty generous) not from the death screen as the time/steps will still be there from your death. The main menu load will put the time/steps back to where it was at the time of auto save.
