Holy gooseberry fool, played the demo of this last night. Had been waiting until I could set aside time to try it in the dark, with headphones uninterrupted. That was intense!

2 is one of my favourite games ever, so this is a big deal to me. I’m pretty excited for it now.

I read something a while ago about Capcom lying about some of the key gameplay features to keep some surprise.

I don’t want to know what that means, but has it been revealed yet?

So does the demo have its difficulty skewed a bit? The reason I ask is that you get to one bit where you don't have enough ammo and end up overwhelmed by enemies with no means of escape. It felt a bit cheap like trial and error.

Overall, it seems a good remake. But despite how good it looks now and how great the atmosphere is, I still feel like I have played it before.

As someone who has never preordered a game on PSN when do you think we can start to download the game before Friday? A day before?

You can usually download games around 48 hours before the release time, DPM, although this does vary by game / publisher. The game will be playable from midnight on Thursday (00:00 on Friday).

Cheers, I know that is one of the "selling points" of preordering on PSN helpful for us who have meh connections!

The timer makes it difficult, rather than taking the time to search every locker for ammo you're likely running around like a headless chicken trying to finish it.

Yeah, the time limit definitely makes you play differently, and in my case, totally against character. There’s a fair bit of ammo in the locker room, but I wasn’t going to spend time figuring all that out. That’s for the luxury of the full game.

I assume this will be full price? I don't know whether to go for it. Having finished Resi 2 original, I'm not sure if I will be motivated to see it through to the end.

That skin pack should be part of the Deluxe Edition seeing as we're already having to pay too much for the classic soundtrack.

Heard there's going to be another mode added to the game post release, hopefully we might see some sort of Mercenaries or Raid mode added later on.
