Playback error on the old video



Can already see the narrative changes, the cop who saves Leon from the zombie there was originally slumped against a wall joking that Leon's party had been cancelled, he then sends you on a fetch quest, by the time you return he's become a zombie himself.

Are people legit asking for the return of the fixed camera?

It was the worse THE WORSE thing about those games.

They should bring back the typewriter save system and the door opening animation between areas as well.

For me this wasn't the issue with Resi 4, 5 and 6, the issue was the over the top action, roundhouse kicks, lack of tension/horror etc.

Looks very good, though it's obvious that camera is going to be a pain in the arse at certain points. The camera will go loopy, you'll be faffing around with the torch, you'll swear your head off, and then you'll be overwhelmed and dead. Which I'm sure is partially the point, but it's going to frustrate like hell nonetheless.

10x scarier though. While there were a number of jump scares in the original, there were a lot of occasions you knew what was coming in advance because a cut scene would kick in (the introduction of the licker for example) or you knew how things were going to react. Now anything's possible.

Fixed camera made you think differently about how you played the game and helped it feel different and look different to anything else. It also allowed to game to look absolutely stunning. I was looking forward to seeing that repeated as we have First Person for the current story line, Over the Shoulder for Revelations etc. Fixed Camera would have been nice.

Still it looks amazing, I’m more gutted we don’t get a demo.

Releasing a demo in the style of the original would be a nice touch. I didn't play the Director's Cut, but the one with Kerrang! (for some strange reason) and OPM ran for 10 minutes and ended shortly after The Licker debuts.

I bet what they've done is you'll come across that 1 mirror (with a crack in it) and absolutely nothing will happen. You'll then forget about it and it'll instead jump out of a random mirror right in front of you later on.

Perspective might change things, for example the dogs jumping through the windows in the corridor near the beginning of Resi 1, that happens once you've walked past the window but the window is still in view.

With this camera angle, this scene simply wouldn't work.

Don't know why people are complaining about Leon not looking right when Claire is the one who just looks weird. Looks way older than she was in the original and Code Veronica.
Hell, she looks older than she does in Revelations 2.

Have they replaced the typewriters with gaming laptops.

This looks strawberry floating amazing.

Keep the narrative as close as possible. Keep the setting pls. Laborotories. Underground cloak and dagger gooseberry fool.
