Went a few years ago.

There's not a lot there. It's a few quiet islands that now have a few giant all-inclusive hotels. Easy to wander away from those hotels and have long beaches to yourself, but they're pretty standard all inclusive types of places. Go if you want to sit and read all day, don't go expecting to see the Sistine chapel.

A girl I work with went recently and loved it. She was just on a beach holiday though, not sure she did anything other than lie in the sun.

I have never been, but I do know it's a place you can visit.

I don't see the problem with a new thread, sure it could go in the Travel thread but odds are it could be missed by someone who has been but isn't travelling / planning to now.

people might think it is a general interest thread on Cape Verde, not a request for help. 3/10 terrible thread.

It isn't called that anymore, it reverted to the Portuguese name Cabo Verde a few years ago.
