This is one of the chavest cars I have seen. Why would you want to spend all that money on this unless your going down to Southend and doing drag races?

Because they look great and go like the proverbial off a shovel. And my dad had one.

My dad is most certainly not a chav.

Fuuny you should say that.

I took out a policy with them in November. Sent them my proof of no claims, then heard nothing from them until late January where upon I recieved a letter telling me that they had cancelled my insurance in December, as they hadn't received my proof of No claims bonus, and that they also wanted £100 in legal/admin fee's.

So not only was I driving around with no isurance for a month, but they also want me to pay £100 for the privilige.

Upon Challenging on why they never phoned me, they just said that they don't phone their customers.

Get to strawberry float.

Pricks

Blimey. Doesn't surprise me that much. It's probably part of their 'Green' agenda that they don't want to waste oxygen calling you up or electricity by emailing you. Only time they've ever phoned me is when I've emailed them saying I am looking to renew elsewhere. Who are you with now?

Yes but no one is disputing it's driving ability and power 8-)

Chavs couldnt afford to get near it though.

In all honestly the Vectra was a touring car and that was ugly as sin

It would be difficult I imagine for chavs to own and insurance such a car.

Just got new car insurance from Aviva. It was a lot cheaper £567 and still to get £60 cashback on quidco :)
Surprisingly Tesco quoted me a renewal of over £800 :fp: i don't understand it and other places were about £700!

Also I am 23 and drive a Mazda 2 1.3 petrol 2009. I got my mum as an additional driver on it because she drives it sometimes and I guess that makes it cheaper.

I pay just shy of £500 with Admiral, which isn't too bad for an insurance group 20 car. I keep the miles low and no-one else can drive it, mind. Plus I'm getting old which helps.

I am 23 years old and drive a group 13 car (Smart Roadster Brabus). I pay about £750 per year after my 3 years no claims discount is taken into account.

It is a 101bhp RWD sports car that weighs less than almost any other car on the road.

Admittedly it does have a 0.7L engine... so maybe it should be less.

Car Insurance is a rip off. Surely these companies should be regulated much harder to prevent them ripping people off. When you think about it, they don't actually do much at all. It's not like anybody is leaving their desk to provide you with a service.

Also, following this ruling that prevented Sheila's Wheels from giving cheaper insurance to women due to sexism, why isn't the same rule applied to ageism.

I hate insurance companies more than banks.

I drive a 2006 54hp Skoda. Fair play, I'm 20, but I have 3 years no claims and it's a group 2 car. One company (Aviva, I believe) quoted me £1,500. The strawberry floating car's pretty much worth that, the twats. Anyway, my renewal was £420 with Hastings Essential.

God I miss driving. And my 147. :(

I don't miss the silly cost of running a car though.

8 years no claims this year and my insurance tries to go up £100 :fp:

A quick call, and a brief mention of me leaving and its back down to what it was before £297 8-)

But yeah whoever said they hate insurance companies has my vote

An S2000. She's as old as they come (1999), but definitely a keeper!
