Earlier on, I filled it up at Morrisons ( ) and it costs me £80 for diesel.

I'm not keen to use fuel from supermarkets, but the one at Esso is £1.81. Another one near the dual carriageway/M6 is £.190.

i mean, my electric is going up from ~70 to ~240 so the government is doing a good job all round

feeding myself is going to be very much a secondary concern going forward

How much would you guys expect to pay for a full valet on a car that isn't horrendously dirty but is dusty enough you could write 'clean me' on the skirting?

I've asked for a few quotes but the first one to respond has quoted me £160 which seems extortionate! I've only ever got it valeted as part of my annual service before though so I've no idea how much it would normally cost.

Got another quote for £60 but that bloke didn't even ask to see the vehicle so I don't trust they'd do a good job.

My Volvo garage charge me £40 for the full valet, but I always get it free of charge if I get my car serviced.

The van is probably £120+ to fill up now, probably more. It was just under a hundred to fill from a quarter full last time so god knows what it'll be now.

Do you need a full valet?

There's a place near us that does mini valets for £20-£30 depending on car size and I really don't know what else they do in the full because it comes back looking new.

Depends if you are going for a valet or a detail

A valet maybe like 50 but a detail 200-your entire bank account

Was looking on Auto Trader again just to pass a bit of time earlier and I’m sure used cars are just continuing to go up and up in price I doubt they’re ever going to go back to pre Covid prices.

I might get an import once my partner has bought into my house. Have my eye on a few cars but still unsure whether to go with my heart (AE86) or pick something with modern safety features and interior (STi Spec C). My partner recently bought a Suzuki Swace and despite it being an automatic and not really feeling that connected to the road compared to my own car, it is very comfortable to drive and the added features are nice.

Looks cool, but I didn’t see it saying that the duties had been paid despite it being in its way - maybe an import that someone else pulled out on?

And it’s not an fq model so not the fast fast ones

Spec c’s are cool, but it doesn’t have modern interior etc, they take all the comforts out on a c to save weight

Whatever my next car will be it needs to be better on fuel (and mines not even bad!), like car prices the fuel won’t drop to anywhere near where it was a few years back.

When did you own the Celica? I’ve always loved the look of them and recall they’re meant to be quite good to drive. Few years back only getting 180 miles of range would have been bad but easier to stomach with the lower prices!
