LewisD drives a racist car confirmed.

I usually have tyres fitted by Kwik fit via their fit at home service.

Got the van back with its new roof, lighting and floor. I can now fit twice the victims inside.

8-) How many miles were you driving along staring at the odometer? I always miss these sorts of landmarks despite being mildy obsessed with seeing them!

I'd clocked it was coming up a while back and just had to pay attention to when the moment arrived. I may have driven a few extra miles on a journey home one day just to make sure it lined up with when I arrived!

Probably give your dash a bit of a wipe whilst you're down there.

Got a letter from Mercedes today warning that the Coolant pump in the engine is at risk of catching fire so has been recalled. So it's nice to know I've been driving around with a realistically non-zero chance of suddenly seeing flames coming out of the bonnet while driving  :dread:

Imagine you're driving then all of a sudden the flames are coming out. :dread:

It's nice to know that some Mercedes cars have Renault engines. :o

On a plus side it’s getting a recall though! Obviously worrying it could have gone up in flames but though :dread:

To be fair, there's never zero chance of that happening, whatever you drive. Anything with an ICE is just a series of fires in a metal box.

Especially the ones you sell.

True, though when the manufacturer is willing to admit "So your engine might catch fire" then you tend to worry just a bit since normally they'd do anything to deny there's an issue :slol:

The worst part is when they recall it and then say the lead time for the safe part to arrive from Germany is 3 months.

I'M LOOKING AT YOU HONDA - 3 MONTHS OF DRIVING WITH A PASSENGER AIRBAG THAT COULD EXPLODE AND KILL THE OCCUPANTS OF THE COCKPIT :slol: :slol:

That extra rush from the risk factor of driving and constantly thinking whether it could go off or not though :datass:

I'm just going to use it as an excuse if I ever get asked to go to the office while waiting. And swipe my dad's car for driving since he works away from home 8-)

That Takata airbag recall was an absolute shitshow, and affected so many manufacturers.

Here's a short documentary about it:

Nope, and I have to drive it to them and sit around for 2 hours while they do the work.
