Well, I’m jealous. I haven’t properly even seen one in real life. Just across the other side of a dual carriageway once (and even then there’s an outside chance I was mistaken).

I've seen a few of Q4s on the M6 lately. It looks nice.

strawberry floating fuel, man. A litre of Super currently costing me 161.9. Utter strawberry floating bollocks. Worst of all, my car was definitely going up in value, but this could kill that stone dead.

Has anyone ever bought a Japanese import before?
Thinking of getting a big 7-seater from Japan.

Like this monster - 48000 miles - £7k

Van passed it's MOT, but as I had major service and work done, it cost me over a grand, 2 days before Christmas :simper:

I'm currently on my third (had two MR2s in the past, and the Subaru Legacy is still going strong. The whole JDM market is pretty well catered for in the UK now so parts are typically ok to source, but that may vary by model.

I also find insurance has been ok; I'm currently paying a shade under £300 a year for a 300bhp car.

I don't really think it's any different to buying any other 10-20 year old car: do your research and don't buy a lemon.

In terms of those MPVs, I've also been looking at those recently. My brother has a Toyota Alphard; I really like the Elgrands. The spec on the top line ones is absolutely ridiculous.

Starting to get tired of scrolling through Autotrader now.
And the the prices of 2nd hand cars is absolutely ridiculous, some £5k "make-do" cars are now pushing £9/10k!

Basically, I've got £10,000 to buy a car, but perhaps I'm being too strict, I'm after:
  • Japanese
  • Low milage
  • Chain driven, not belt
  • Big boot
  • Smallish (because the missus doesn't want to handle anything too big)
  • Automatic

Lots and lots of Honda Jazzes fitting this, but I'd like something cooler. I have seen some nice 2016 Civics with 30k on the clock for about £13,000 though. Just out of budget though.

Any ideas?

My free home charger is getting installed this Friday so I’m really excited to stare at that not being used for the next 5 months.

Hey Dowbo we were battery changing buddies on Monday - I swapped out my Polo battery as well!

We're basically fully trained mechanics now. :datass:

It amazes me that they're still advertising them in every issue of The Week. Obviously they want to get the orders in, but it's going to lead to so many pissed-off customers.
