I could afford either but I don't know how much I want the Sport vs paying £50 less a month.

is there a list of differences

I don't have a full list of differences to hand but the main difference is going to be in the engine, a 1.2 dualjet vs 1.4 boosterjet. I'm not au fait with car specs but I love my current 1.0l boosterjet Swift which is my I'm happy to exchange for another.

Have you asked Quentin Wilson for advice?

He'd probably just complain about there being too many forruns in Leicester again. Very unpleasant man.

What engine for the V60?

It was too big, the annual tax was quite high on it and the MPG not high enough so I moved away.

Fair enough.

The older models have bigger engines and a bit heavy on fuel.

I have Volvo V60 D4 (2.0-litre turbo diesel 190PS) myself and the road tax is £165 a year which isn't too bad. My average mpg is about 55-60 depends on what roads I'm driving.

It is a brilliant car for the long journeys and it's very solid driving on the M6.

My word, tyres have gotten a lot more expensive since I last bought them.

I've had to go down one price bracket more than I'd like just to get new boots on the motor.

I went for a boring 308 SW Estate.

But it'll do me well. High MPG, zero Tax. It's only got 28,000 on clock and has been well looked after. Plus it's the Allure version. I would have got something more 'fun' if living in a country that's good for driving but what's the point when it's main purpose will be to do trips up and down the M6. May as well get something sensible.

That's what I got for mine last time. I mean, they're tyres, I dunno how you tell if they're better or worse than any other type really, but they certainly help the car move forward so I'm happy.

Decent choice, you could definitely do a lot worse.

Meanwhile I’m just waiting either for prices to drop, or for my Civic to fail catastrophically  Wonder which will happen first? Think it’s going to need a bearing or two replacing in the near future, hopefully it can wait till it’s MOT in November. Might finally get the garage to look at the air con and see if it’ll be a relatively cheap fix or not, it’s definitely not just in need of a re gas.

Just talked myself out of buying an A5. It was a good price, with crazy low mileage. I want it, but I don't need it. I REALLY don't.

2015, Quattro Black Edition. 40k miles. £16,725.

Working from home, I just don’t do the miles any more to justify the price.

Good choice, An A5 won't make you any happier than whatever car you have currently.

My car is in for a replacement coolant pump at the moment after it got a recall and while I was there they did a settlement figure of my finance and a valuation.
Due to me being way under my finance mileage, and the second hand car market at the moment, I've currently got just shy of £7,000 positive equity in it, so definitely tempted to take a look at the current electric car market.... :shifty:

I had a similar sitch wherein I bought mine under value post covid and then a few months ago was offered 7k over..

Only problem I have is that I’m only interested in moving into something competitive which leaves me in 911 kind of markets and then makes hopping out look less attractive as Porsche money is mental atm

After the saga with my Q4 order and ultimate cancellation thereof, I have finally got rid of my Hyundai Tucson and replaced it with a Jaguar I-Pace I found with a mere 10k miles on it.

It’s an incredible car. Can’t get enough of driving it.

I went looking around at Electric Cars last week due to how much value was in mine and after being whacked for £520 annual car tax (Due to my car's list price being over £40k so it automatically gets top whack car tax even though I paid well under that because of £12k of Post-Covid discounts), but strawberry floating hell the price of electric cars has gone batshit mental in the last year.

I went to take a look at the Ford Mustang E-Mach and they told me it's had 4 separate price increases in the last year which have resulted in the price increasing by about £10k compared to a year ago for exactly the same car.
I went to Hyundai and their financing must be utterly gooseberry fool, because somehow despite an Ioniq 5 being cheaper than a Mustang they still wanted the same per month for it.
I did go to a Nissan dealer as well but they have a single Ariya at the dealership, and the manager uses it as a personal car and the manager doesn't work weekends, so it wasn't there to even look at  :fp:
Even a basic Nissan Leaf is only just shy of £30k now.

If you want a brand new Electric car in what would previously have been seen as mid-range market style cars (So Mustang/BMW 4-series) you're looking at £50k+ now.
