Our gardener has a few Subarus and chats to me about them from time to time, asked this morning if Id like to bring mine along to Llandudno in a couple of weeks and have it up on the stand near the podium for the WRC stage. How nice is that?

Very nice :)

Will have to try and catch the WRC (can never remember who shows it live now) highlights to see if I can catch a glimpse of your car. Free entry to the event would be good enough in my opinion, but having your car up near the podium will be pretty special.

Oh I wouldnt expect to see it on the TV. From what I can gather its gonna be a collection of rare and interesting Subarus just for decoration. Theres a few people coming, the guy who invited me has a factory fresh WR1 for example. I think I secured an invite by being the only idiot with a current model.

Need to get rid of my sisters old CRV, which is in my name. I will be lucky to get $300 for it as scrap :x

It was a pretty good car all things considered, it had the fewest mechanical problems of any old car I've ever bought, and it only cost me $1500, but in the end rust has basically killed it :(

This was the model and colour...

It was pretty great, my favourite but pretty useless feature that it had was the plastic cover for the spare tire in the trunk actually had legs so it could act as a picnic table!

Ah CR-Vs are good - my mum's 2006 ex-display model is still running pretty well.

Trip to the Lake District this weekend, and for once there's no dog or child in the back. That means just one thing: Hartside Pass.

No they are ace, but most older Impreza people arent fans because its too expensive compared to the older ones.

Yeah they do seem a little on the expensive side looking at them (not that I've ever actually looked into getting one, but I have a habit of when I'm bored going on various car dealerships websites and using the configurator to see how crazy I can go or just trawl though Autotrader).

Hartside was pass as great as ever (aside from a stretch of resurfacing work along some of the best corners).

However, and this is a minor gripe, but the car is just so capable, and you're so far from the limit, that it all just feels a bit routine.

I mean, you can cover huge amounts of ground at ridiculous pace - effortlessly - but I'd need to be going so much faster to really feel any proper adrenaline.

It's not the sensation I was expecting, tbh.

What car have you got Poser? Cars being so capable these days is what's making me want to downsize for my next car to something small and fun (plus there's only normally me in it for the most part and I rarely have to transport huge loads) while I can.

A Japanese import Subaru Legacy Spec.B. It's a mid-size estate so is pretty big, but overtakes like a dream and handles very well for its size. Plus, it's debadged and fairly subtle, so very few people know what it is.

It's new company car time for me. Waiting for the new list but policy now is:

- no diesels
- more hybrids
- smaller petrol engines

:|

Can't wait to see what I can get.

In the US, most trucks either run Moto Metal, Fuel rims, or both brands which are so played out.
