The Corsa died in an argument with a lorry. This is a 62-plate Fiesta.

Whats the plan dude? Fork out for the repairs or sell it for scrap/parts?

Bloody hell. My car is 12 years old and it has never failed an MOT.

EDIT: I see it’s nearly all suspension-related. Do you have to deal with a lot of speed humps?

It's on finance, so I can't get rid. I've pulled out for the repairs. Luckily we have a thing where we can spread the cost over 6 months, interest free. (I got the MOT and repairs done through work).

There is quite a vicious speed bump in the office car park, and the potholes in my street are ridiculous.

Tbf £500 odd is pretty good for having all that sorted out and an mot done.

Funny story though, after the car was delivered back, I drove it and when going around a roundabout, I heard a knock from the back. strawberry floating gooseberry fool myself that they'd strawberry floated the job up. Get to the shops, open the boot, and it turns out they'd moved my emergency tyre foam can from where I keep it, and it was rolling around the boot, making the noise.

New BMW 1 Series have switched to the front-wheel drive and the reviewers are impressed with it.

Dare say it’ll still be a good car and sell well, to the majority of buyers they probably won’t even care if it’s front or rear wheel drive.

Never driven one though so can’t speak from experience, don’t know why but there's just something about most modern BMW models that just doesn’t appeal to me.

I drove the most recent m140i and found it immensely fast and capable

Anyone got any recommendations for sorting headlights out? When I say sort them I mean get rid of the fogging they’ve picked up over the 12 years it’s been driven around. I’d prefer to give it a bash giving them a deep clean rather than just buying brand new lights for it. Might finally get the new bulbs I bought ages ago installed as well, only had them for a year

Worth a bash though! Packet of j-cloths and some cheap toothpaste sounds loads cheaper than new headlights or a proper cleaning kit.

Toothpaste does worth. It's just a very fine abrasive paste at the end of the day.

I use T-Cut on mine. Works wonders. But does need re-doing every 5-6 months so is only a temporary fix.

Everyone on the internet says that you shouldn't use T-cut. You probably shouldn't use T-Cut. But it's an old car and I don't give much of a strawberry float.
