Toyota have officially unveiled the Yaris GR4 today, looks ace but at around £27k it’s probably out of my price bracket

Variable AWD system, 257 bhp 3 cylinder engine and only 3 doors sounds ace though.

Edit, seeing £32 as well, regardless out of my budget unless they have immense deals on.

So the electric Mustang doesn't actually look too bad
And the standard has a 280 mile range so would be workable for my 150 mile round trip commute.

Though sadly comes out a few months too late for me as my current car is up in June

I know nothing about cars but I think Subaru peaked with the McCae car.
It was perhaps the ultimate rally car and driver combo and I'm not sure they'll ever recreate that again.

Hmmm, so Tesla Model 3 with 20,000 miles per year from £546/month. Which sounds a lot, but my fuel bill is currently £200-300/month which will be drastically reduced to something like £50-100/month in electricity, if that.

Got quoted £890 to replace a leaking coolant pipe that is behind the engine which requires removal of gearbox to get to. I should just let it carry on leaking ha.
Anyway taking it for another quote but at the dealership this time. Hopefully they will be more reasonable.

Yeah, dealerships are usually a fair bit cheaper than anywhere else. Either way, you’ve got to get it sorted. You know what you’re like when water starts getting splashed around.

I've had it for nearly 4 years now and got it when it was 2.5 years old. Thing is since I moved to London I now only do like 4k a year compared to 12-5k in the past so don't think its worth part ex it.

I will take a look, my first ever car was a Yaris T-Spirit they sent me photos of it being built in Japan and I had it all sported up (spoiler, skirts etc) I thought I was so cool a year later I got the same but a Corolla because I couldn’t get insurance for a Celica GT (it looked amazing and they let me have their showroom one for a couple of weeks)

The car I like at the moment is the new Jaguar that’s like a small 4x4 type car

I have not really looked into electric yet, I like the idea of it but would need to research to see how viable it is in terms of how far you could go and the time it takes to charge, if I had the money I would an electric car for short local journeys and a petrol or diesel car for everything else, at the moment a new car is not looking likely but I can always look

I quite like the look of some electric cars, but the infrastructure just isn’t there yet, its probably doable if you can have charger on the side of your house and don’t have a ridiculously long commute but otherwise its not there yet. I only know of 2 charging points within a 5 mile radius of me.

The Hyundai i20 N has been seen testing in whats meant to be a near finished prototype. This is one of the few new cars that actually interests me to the point where I’m very tempted to at least test drive one when available, the i30 N was meant to be fantastic (and I would have loved one but even used ones are still quite expensive these days, will be waiting to see what the prices are like when people start handing them back in after their 3 year PCP lease is up) so hopefully the i20 N turns out just as good and at a reasonable price, guessing they’ll be wanting to undercut the Fiesta ST by a small amount anyway.

better than you'd think but not as direct as you'd hope - the auto rev matching is neat

I think Ive been spoiled by the STI as far as feel goes, nothing Ive tried even comes close

Not that I’ve driven one but I doubt much comes close to an STI does it? Not until you get into super/hyper car territory anyway.

I'm starting to wonder what's going to happen with my car.

My finance is up at the end of June, so I've got to hand my car back at some point during June. But with the dealers all closed I can't go looking for a new one.
