I've only had company cars for the last 5 years so it's been a long time since I've been in a dealership. Will probably end up paying for the test drive lol what am I like.

It's OK to ask to see paper work isn't it? Like service book and receipts etc

That is fine. Also kick the tyres and ask if you can pop the bonnet.

Picked up today. :datass:

So far it's bloody brilliant and it's got more gadgets than my old car. I am learning how to use the new gadgets and my drive style with my new car.

What car did you get?

Gadgets are one thing I wish my car had more of. I really miss having the phone connectivity I get when using hire cars.

Oooof, nice purchase. I really like the styling of modern Volvos. The blue colour as well. :datass:

Yeah it is.

Mine is a pine grey with all matte black roof rails, front grill and black mirrors.

I too took delivery of a brand new car this week. After months of deliberation I opted for a 3 year lease on a Audi A4 Avant S Line.

It's very swanky and comfortable but the 19" wheels feel every bump in the road. Overall I'm very pleased with it.

So I need to swap my TT, as my PCP deal is up in December.

Currently the two I'm looking at are either a Jaguar XE or a Mercedes C-Class Convertable.

The Jaguar is cheaper, but the Mercedes just has more to it, plus is a convertable which I really miss having since I had to get rid of my SLK.

Looking at the diesel version of both, since right now when things start to settle I need to expect to be doing a 150 mile round trip commute 3 times a week as I was before, so Petrol would still be just that bit too expensive to run.
Which really annoys me because the car I really want to get is a BMW Z4, but the petrol costs would just be too high.

We've just bought a Toyota Rav4 (Excel model) after months of indecision.

Arriving around October 8th. Pretty excited to actually drive a decent car for a change. :toot:

Just drove the van and the engine light came on, which happens from time to time but nothing major seems to come from it (replace a glow plug and so on). This time the engine was really down on power, not making any noises but defimitrly down. The steep bit to home which is normally 4th was foot to the floor in 2nd to keep going.

There goes the hope of a cheap MOT and service this month then.

Just ticked over 5k in my e208. Other half now wants to replace her Mini with an electric car now (and steal mine in the meantime). Had to go to a petrol station today in her car which is an odd experience now!
