Started this last night. It doesn’t hang around, does it?! Enjoying the challenge already. I usually go full-on exploring, but I reckon this one will be a get-to-the-end, then replay for collectibles.

Thought some of you may like to watch this:

Oh wow, this looks cool. I can't wait to watch it after work. :D Thanks for linking!

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

I finished watching it last night and I really enjoyed it. I think they definitely achieved some of the things he described in the talk.

However I didn't realise that the talk was being given before release. I'd recommend playing through Celeste as much as you can before watching. You'll find yourself nodding as he describes how he wants the player to feel at different levels and story chapters.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

Got this last night and am enjoying it so far. Not done too much, just the first chapter I believe, but I like how it gets you straight in to working things out for yourself. I died a billion times just testing out what I could do, and I'm still making errors, but it's good to have a challenge. Seems like there are lots of hidden areas to explore too.

I'll get a bit more stuck in after work, but am looking forward to it.

The nice thing is that dying a million times isn’t punished, is even encouraged. It’s kaizo platforming with a heart.

Bloody loving this game. I finished chapter 6 yesterday. The plot is smart, and the platforming is perfect - just the right mix of difficult and compelling. Making sure I don’t play more than a chapter a day though, because when I stop I find that I’ve been gripping the pad pretty hard.

Summit reached! 102 strawberries, 5 cassettes, no hearts. But I will be going back in.

I’ll take a little break with Guacamelee 2 before I head back for more Celeste exploration.

Well done! I’m not sure Guac2 will help with that pad-gripping though, it’s worse than Celeste in parts...

Ha, that’s true, based on my experience of the first Guacamelee. Good point. Maybe SteamWorld Dig first then.

Forgot to mention in my stats: 2200 or so deaths.
