One of the devs (SFX and some music) and a speedrunner.
IL = Individual Level.

Or in other words... his current goal for speedrunning Chapter 9 is over four times longer than the current world record (not his, but he's not bad at the game by any means).

I need to go back and finish the C-Sides...

Did any of you guys finish them? Or get any golden strawberries? No way am I even attempting those...maybe the one on the first level.

All C-sides done, 3 C-side goldens (1C, 2C, 4C), 3 A-side goldens (1A, dashless 1A, 2A). No B-side goldens yet.

I'm thinking of attempting to get the golden strawberry on 7C some time this weekend. May even stream it on Twitch if anyone's interested (and, perhaps, even if not).

Finished up the remaining C-side golden strawberries just now. Twitch clips of 7 and 8:

Also got 6C on stream but couldn't find the clip button in time. It's right there on the video! :fp:

Beautiful.

What controller do you prefer to use?

I'm using a DS4 at the moment. I like the separated "buttons" of the d-pad for a little more certainty regarding which direction I'm pushing (it could do with any kind of feedback when you cross from one octant to the next, though I have no idea how exactly that would work with regards to the mechanical design of the d-pad). I've managed to kind of break the R1 button from playing the PC version for 120+ hours. It still works, but it's clear some part of the button has broken. Just a matter of time before it breaks completely.

I was using an 8BitDo SF30 Pro which was alright, but as much as I like that controller there's something about it that doesn't work as well for me when playing Celeste. The face buttons require a bit more force to press and they stick out more than on the DS4, which I find worse for rolling my thumb from Y to B (Square to X on DS4).

I did all the c-sides (possibly my greatest gaming achievement) and got the golden strawberry on the first level only. Collecting more of them wasn't a task that appealed to me and is certainly above my skill level without an unreasonable amount of time spent practicing!

I'm excited to get home tonight!

Damn, this is really good.

Feels a bit easy (in comparison to my possibly overblown expectations), but that's probably just a complete lack of perspective after having played the game for hundreds of hours.
Also I'm only about 50 minutes in. The difficulty probably ramps up a lot more towards the end.

Anyway, really good stuff so far.
