Last thing I saw him in was the greenscreen-athon Death on the Nile last year, which also happens to star another wrong ‘un, though whose name escapes me.

I don't think it'll be Fielding or anyone from Taskmaster, because Channel 4 aren't going to want to hurt their own shows.

Might help insulate them from the kind of criticism the BBC has had it they did bite the bullet and shop their own stars, though.

An interesting thread.

Also I believe the program is supposed to focus on 3 different people.

Even before it was deleted I wasn’t able to read the other 4 tweets in the chain because strawberry float twitter, but the timing of Brand fully embracing the ‘don’t believe any media!’ grift is right around when it became apparent his secrets weren’t going to stay secret forever. Massive coincidence, I’m sure.

The thing about these alegations is that the "Brands" will claim consent in the "groupie culture". Brand is definately dodgy. My ex was a Mighty Boosh fan, and we went to a live show, and the onstage charisma of Fielding was surprising. Is Matt Lucas in the frame? - David Williams is creepy as hell. Im also surprised theres still a John Peel Stage at glastonberry given all the rumours about him.
But If there should be a criminal investigation, dont things like this in the media prejudice any case?

A petition emerged last year ahead of the 50th anniversary of Glastonbury and the first held after the Coronavirus pandemic. The petition - which was signed by thousands - asked festival organisers to rename the stage after historic allegations of sexual abuse were made against John Peel.
The allegations included that of Jane Nevin, a woman who claimed she fell pregnant by Peel during a three-month affair when she was a 15-year-old school girl. Peel also married his first wife, Shirley Anne Milburn, when she was 15 - however this was legal in Texas at the time.

Fair enough. im 6 months behind

Aged pretty well, then.

Classic infatuated cult behaviour under Brand’s video. No idea what the allegations are but ‘we stand with you Russell! We love uuuu’.

I don't know if he deliberately moved into conspiracy peddling as a safeguard against future allegations. But I do know that because of his conspiracy peddling, there will be a lot of people defending him no matter what he accused of or how strong the evidence is.

What is it about people and their ability to blindly devote their lives to following something or someone despite knowing they may have done horrible things. How do people brush stuff like that off and just class it all as lies. It's been happening since the birth of religion and now it just seems to mainly be related to individual people like Tucker Carlson and Brand. It's also quite sad, because my Mum used to adore Brand when he first got famous as he was from around the place my family were and she thought it was cool that someone from our area would be able to get famous like he did. My Mum would have been so disgusted knowing how he turned out.

It's called Brand loyalty.

Mirror wrote:TV presenter Kirtsy Gallacher has shown her public support for her brother-in-law Russell after he denied 'serious' and 'criminal' allegations made against him.

The 48-year-old, who's sister Laura is married to Russell, re-shared his video statement to deny the allegations – the specific details of which are yet to come to light – on her Instagram story.

She added a GIF of a red beating heart above the clip, to show she is behind the comedian after he denied the "litany of astonishing rather baroque attacks" which had been put to him by a newspaper and TV programme.

Didn't know they were now related.

Will that "public support" hold up past 10:30pm.

With support from Elon Musk, Andrew Tate and Kirsty "drink driving" Gallagher, I'm convinced of his innocence.

Brand seems to have miraculously stopped trending on X (in the UK, at least). It's surely been rigged, hasn't it.
