My brother showed me some Charlie Brooker on holiday last week. He's good. It's rare to see someone on TV that you can really agree with and laugh with. So many twats in the media..

Despite the diabolical ratings, I really hope this comes back for a second series.

Really? How bad are we talking? I'm surprised it didn't do well given that it's better than pretty much any other panel show around.

890,000 for its first episode. Series peaked with 1.2m. Would have been great for a cable channel.

Still, when BB ends, C4 will have 200 hours to fill...

Is that including 4oD figures? Cause I for one ended up watching roughly half of the episodes online.

I remember a few months back I noted that he looks like Laurence Fishburne and none of my flatmates agreed (probably can't entertain the idea that a black man can look like a white man).

So just now I tried a little experiment:

The resemblance is even mentioned on his Wikipedia page. I feel kind of smug about it to be honest - I'm going to have to wait until tomorrow to tell them, though!

I'm not sure that ratings figure is actually so bad. Stewart Lee's thing on BBC2 earlier this year had quite a high profile, lots of media people talking it up anyway, and I think it got lower ratings - I was looking at Stew's website the other day and there was a bit there about how he got roughly 1 million viewers in a 10 pm time slot, which was perfectly acceptable, apparently.
