They are barbarians in the middle east. I don't care what they argue over there, they tolerate that behaviour, the lot of them who bend to the will of that culture are disgusting. Women are bloody stupid over there too, they defend their culture when they get the worst of it. I'm glad I didn't watch the whole video, just saw the crowd and thought f**k it, I can't watch the rest of it. If any of that came over here, we'd be up in arms over it. Even our army wouldn't support it, there'd be a backlash of epic proportions. Look at the Chinese, they've been oppressed for so long that it's ingrained into them, yet they still protest and hope for a revolution.

I don't think we'll ever get that over here, but if it ever does come in our lifetimes I'll see you all on the street protesting the hell out of it and actively taking part in politics.

Again it entirely depends on what you mean when you say 'Sharia law coming to the UK'. It is proposed that a lot of UK law has a basis in Medieval Islamic law, and a lot of todays human rights were introduced by Islamic jurists. In actual fact, before the Western world went over to the Middle East and Northern Africa in the 19th Century, and started introducing their laws, women had much more freedom. Freedom of Speech was emphasized early on within Islam:

Bring forward all the arguments you wish and say whatever you please and speak your mind freely. Now that you are safe and free to say whatever you please appoint some arbitrator who will impartially judge between us and lean only towards the truth and be free from the empery of passion, and that arbitrator shall be Reason, whereby God makes us responsible for our own rewards and punishments. Herein I have dealt justly with you and have given you full security and am ready to accept whatever decision Reason may give for me or against me. I'm moving away from the point entirely, which is simply this: People don't have a clue what they are talking about. Jewish courts have been upheld by the English legal system for centuries. In actual fact, my Uncle is a Jewish lawyer. There is no reason why Islamic civil law cannot be given the same privileges.

And to think that the extremes of Sharia law will be introduced is laughable. Simply because they are rarely used in Islamic countries themselves.

Freedom of speech hasn't really been available anywhere until we began to modernise. They still had the stonings, beheadings and that. Freedom of speech is more prevalent now than it was back in the middle east. Islam may have preached freedom of speech then, but in practice there has never been that at all. Even around here in the UK when witch hunts and that was going on.

Exactly, everyone went ape-shit when that women was going to be imprisoned for calling a bear Muhammad. Saudi is one of only two countries that maintain religious courts for all aspects of law, and this broke their law. Plenty of western countries still have blaspheming laws, including the UK up until last year I think.

The point I was trying to make is that Sharia law isn't some sneaky Muslim plot to take over our lives. It won't creep up on us and stone us in our sleep. Sharia law, if it ever does become enforced by UK law, will be for civil matters in much the same way that Jewish law has done for a long time.

Basically, it will not effect you at all. Stoning, as it should be done in Sharia law, very rarely happens. It wasn't until the early 80's that Iran had stoning on its books, and it stopped it in 2002. And due to the large burden off proof, it was hardly ever suitable. Reports of stoning aren't actually Sharia Law, but simple murder. It would be very difficult to find a case of judicial stoning where all the strict procedures were adhered to.

Just like you wouldn't find any cases of judicial capital punishment for moral 'crimes' in Jewish history. The Christians were quite fond of it though.
