Poached eggs are also an excellent topping for crumpets (All the yolk oozing into the holes :datass: ), and possibly the only acceptable reason to eat them using cutlery.

Eggy crumpets, I'm telling you they are glorious. Stick a bit of fried bacon on the plate as well and you have a breakfast fit for a king! :datass:

I've never tried this and now I want to. It's just a shame I'm too lazy to bother frying eggs and bacon first thing in the morning. I also don't have a very big frying pan so can't cook it them at the same time.

You should grill bacon anyway. Frying it, while tastier, is so bad for you.

I don't eat it often enough for that to worry me too much. It tastes so good it's worth it.

It's 2020 and the world has gone to gooseberry fool so at this point I think I'll just start deep frying all my food and to hell with the consequences!

Don't like cheese on toast generally. I did enjoy it in a cafe once and another time in the house with a mixture of mild Cheddler and spicy Mexicana.

Worcester Sauce on Cheese on Toast is for southern peasants.

If you really want the cheese on toast of the Gods then you add lashings of Henderson's Relish, Sheffield's far superior alternative. I guarantee you will never go back.

If you're going for the full Yorkshire Rarebit then mix some Black Sheep Ale, whipping cream, Henderson's, Dijon Mustard and lashings of grated Wensleydale.

It was more for SD's general benefit as he's not lived on his own for long and might not realise there's an alternative to frying it (his post read like he thought that was the only option).

I've lived on my own for 5 years. I could grill it but it doesn't taste anywhere near as good so I don't count it as an option. :shifty:
