Cadbury have upset some people by making a bar of many colours.

I've had a look online and it's already sold out l Which is a shame as I want to do my bit to end racism.

I know it's fun to look at this and think, "haha, what a bunch of snowflakes, upset by a chocolate bar," but given what's going on in Assam and Kashmir right now, this is tone deaf marketing by Cadbury's.

Assam: Assam NRC: What next for 1.9 million 'stateless' Indians?

Kashmir: 'Don't beat us, just shoot us': Kashmiris allege violent army crackdown

What unity? The kind brought about by fascism?

Great example of tone-deaf "woke capitalism".

The white chocolate looks kind of wrong. It’s the wrong colour.

The bar itself is great but the marketing around it is bloody absurd.

Then again I did purchase a bag of GAY PRIDE SKITTLES this year. The meaning of them being all white was completely lost on me, nor did I care enough to google it, but they had novelty value nonetheless. I'm sure just by holding the bag in my hand I was immediately woke off my tits.

It's the best kind, you uncultured swine.

Dark > Milk > White > that new Ruby gooseberry fool that is clearly just while with added red food colouring.

I'm just not sure using chocolate when it comes to race is a savvy marketing exercise given chocolate has been used as a racial slur.

That said, I always find it bizarre when corporations try to monitise equality campaigns. It just feels a bit grubby.
