We've put £150 on it and have done for the last few years. Gives scope to get one proper present and then you have to be creative with what's left.

I have no idea what to buy my partner. He's the type to go and buy what he needs and he never really wants much. I don't really want to get him a generic present so I'm at a loss of what to do.

Saw the first house with Christmas decorations up when walking the dog last night.
I admire their enthusiasm with the timing but there is no excuse for having a white artificial tree.
