Wife tried to put a £50 limit on Christmas presents today. Divorce proceedings are now pending.

Broom her.

We've put £150 on it and have done for the last few years. Gives scope to get one proper present and then you have to be creative with what's left.

I have no idea what to buy my partner. He's the type to go and buy what he needs and he never really wants much. I don't really want to get him a generic present so I'm at a loss of what to do.

It definitely wouldn't be a "generic present".

Saw the first house with Christmas decorations up when walking the dog last night.

I admire their enthusiasm with the timing but there is no excuse for having a white artificial tree. :dread:

You live next to a Christmas market? Isn't that the same thing as having a pub next door to your house?

He lives in France, it’s more like having a wine bar next to your house.
