Just watched Its a Wonderful Life for the first time, was pretty good though not really sure I would 100% class it as a Christmas film

Polar Express watched last night, Home Alone and Home Alone 2 going to be watched tonight. got to squeeze in Nightmare Before Christmas at some point to.

The trifecta in my house is Jingle All the Way, Home Alone & National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation…all nailed already!
Discovered salted caramel mince pies from Tesco which are simply sensational, get amongst those bad lads. Nailed a box already and going back for more.

Definitely not Muppets Christmas Carol. We’re all holding up let’s be jolly masks to try and make ourselves feel better…I know already that the Tiny Tim bits will have me a blubbering pile of jelly on the floor wreck and Christmas will be ruined, frog puppet or no.

The kids have made us watch The Christmas Chronicles on Netflix about 4 times already this year.
I actually don't mind it.

We've basically had both on rotation
Agree that the second is not as strong, but it's still good enough and gets a good amount of cheer going. The singing parts in both are great, Kurt Russell has a ... 'unique' voice but belts it all out with suitable gusto!
Also Goldie Hawn is still up there

We watched the second the other day
It gets points for Darlene Love in the airport (Alone on Christmas is a stealth best christmas song) but the little fat kid from Hunt for the Wilderpeople doesn't make a very convincing villain
Crazy the gulf in quality between the two films tbf.

Darlene Love does indeed have the stealth best Christmas song but it's Baby Please Come Home not Alone At Christmas!
