No prawn rings this year as everyone seems to have ran out of them. Ah, well. Still got a decent selection of stuff that's arrived over the last week.

It is chaos at the moment, that's for sure.

You're all mad for going anywhere near a food shop at this time of year :dread:

Prebooked with the butcher for delivery today, and had a morribobs delivery at the weekend.

Going to Sainsbury's at 6am tomorrow for the final few bits.

Ironically don't need anything specifically christmassy, but just regular dinners and milk and that

I'm heading down the supermarket tomorrow to collect a turkey that my mum ordered. Will be wrapped up, wearing a face mask and trying not to stand near other folk.

Sounds like a weird turkey.
Do you have to pay extra for the mask and the wrapping?

Sadly can’t help it as I’m one of the immensely lucky folk who work in one :dread:

Do wise to stay away from them and support a local butcher as well.

Holy strawberry float, Sainsbury's was strawberry floating well mental.

AND I was there for 6am when it opened.
Won't be strawberry float all left for others later.. :capnscotty:

Managed to get the last of the essentials (Stilton and mince pies innit). And now I can chill.

Oh, gawd. I'm gonna be down at the supermarket (for my infamous mask wearing turkey) around 10:30... it's gonna be chaos, isn't it?

Back at my parents for Christmas so that means my first Benny and hot of winter (hard to get Benedictine at a reasonable price outside of Burnley), tastes like magic

Same, it’s the least Christmasy I have ever felt, I don’t know what it is but it seems to have come around really quickly, I am still looking forward to Christmas dinner though

We have all the tons of Christmas food in now (although it’s the least amount we have had in over Christmas) and today the whole house was cleaned so it feels more Christmas ready

In Morrissons at 6.30am. Last of the presents and fresh bread bought for tomorrow.
Now I've got to scurry around and deliver stuff.

Does it feel like Xmas? Not in the slightest.

No matter how bad your Christmas, at least you’re not this woman…

A woman claims her Christmas has been “ruined” after discovering a packet of Cheestrings she purchased especially for a cheeseboard were covered in “mould”.

The Plymouth mum, who wished to remain anonymous, says that the Cheestrings came in a Tesco supermarket delivery this week.

Pictures taken by the devastated mum showed what appeared to be mould of the inside of the plastic packaging of the product, despite them being well within their sell date

The label shows that the item's best before date is March 30, 2022.

My kind neighbours held a party last night keeping me awake with their music, shuffling and buzzing my flat on the entry trying to get in at 3am so was up at 7 to go to big Tesco. Would have preferred Waitrose but couldn't be bothered with the extra travel and it's smaller so might run out quicker. Tesco was rammed and the supplies that had won't last the morning. Could defo have done with a big sleep this morning but would end up serving chicken goujons for dinner.

I went to Morrisons at 6am, and it wasn't too mad. Got everything I need for Christmas dinner and dessert now, and booze for Christmas boozing.
