My brother showed up with my niece, and he's bought her a tablet computer for christmas, so pretty much for the duration of the visit, mum and I were treated as if we weren't even there while they buggered about with the sodding thing.
Why would anyone visit their family, only to spend the whole visit glued to a screen while ignoring the very people they came to see?
I don't blame my niece, she's only 8 and kids do get engrossed in whatever shiny new things they've been given, as far as my brother is concerned though, his behaviour was rude, disrespectful, and unacceptable.
The final straw was when mum asked him if he ever thinks about and misses Dad, apparently he doesn't. This time of year is generally very sensitive for me and Mum regarding what happened with Dad (christmas 2016 was basically, hospital hell), and for him to show such blatant disregard and coldness over it is quite frankly, beyond my understanding.
Sorry for the rant, but this afternoon really was quite something.
I miss my mum loads around Christmas, and think about her all the time, I can't understand your brother it is beyond my understanding as well, went to see Wonka today and something in that made me think of her and start crying, so I guess I'm just trying to say I get it and plenty of other people would feel like you.
