Any of the more sophisticated forumites like to partake in a cigar from time to time?

I've buying a couple later today, any recommendations for brands? My price range is around 40 euro and i've never properly smoked a decent quality one before so maybe there's a certain type that are more enjoyable for starters...

I'm quite the smoker/toker but I've no idea how to smoke cigars...not inhaling seems kind of backward where smoking's concerned.

Romeo and Juliet is the way to go.

I might smoke on a cigar around Christmas time or celebrate the new year, other then that, nope.

I don't smoke (occasional spliff after surfing, maybe)

Cigar smoking is an absolute mine field. There are so many things that alter the flavour, right down to the obvious things like price, age and quality of tobacco through to shape. I like the Romeo y Julieta Churchill, it's a fairly standard 'good' cigar. Costs less than 40 Euros as well.

Yep same here, but i've learned how to smoke 'em in the last few weeks and its oddly enjoyable, can't really explain it.

A friend bought me back a couple of cabinets of Cohiba Espléndido. They were truly awesome.

I nearly forgot, you should definitely try H. Upmann Petit Coronas as a beginner, like I am. I loved it, and they're not massively expensive.

I don't smoke cigarettes, but I enjoy Cigars on occasion.

I don't smoke them enough to be able to recommend any good ones.
But I do know that I HATE those piddly stick thin ones you get in typical pubs.

Got 2 Romeo and Juliets on the way home today. Going to a festival tomorrow so looking forward to sparking up one of these bad boys after setting up my tent.

We were in the Dominican Republic last year, and we bought one of the local brands.

It was very cheap and very big.

I lit the cigar, started smoking, felt very naughty and worried that my Mother might be watching.

I soon realised that I don't like cigars.

I also had no tastebuds and a sore throat afterwards.

I put the cigar back in the tin and have never spoken about it again. Until now.

I used to smoke these little things called Hamlets when I was about... fourteen. More recently I got into socially smoking biggies. They make me feel a bit sick, to be honest.
